Rey Andujar: Exploring Dominican Literature

Andújar will present a performance piece based on his poetic literature. His work will make connections to contemporary expression of Caribbean culture.  There will be a Q&A session immediately following his performance. Guest Speaker courtesy of Jesus Macarena-Avila's course: "CARIBBEAN ART, LITERATURE AND MUSIC".


Originally from the Dominican Republic, he is a PHD candidate with Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico y el Caribe. He currently teaches at Harold Washington Community College and has published his writings with Contratiempo, Chicago's Latino/a literary magazine.
