Join the MoCP, Columbia College Chicago’s Theater Department, and #HereToo for an evening of two distinct, devised plays examining America’s gun violence epidemic through different lenses. American Origami, based on Andres Gonzalez’s photographic project, looks back at seven mass shooting events across America, beginning with Columbine and culminating in the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, FL. #HereToo’s inspiration begins with the Parkland shooting and the March for Our Lives movement that emerged and weaves together national, regional, and Chicago stories of survivorship and gun violence prevention activism.
