Exploring Pre-Columbian Dancing w/ Eloy Guerrero and Bertha Jimenez

Guerrero and Jimenez will present a lecture on a performance of Mexican pre-Columbian dance traditions on their focus on the "danza del conchero". These traditions are embedded within Mexican ancient history plus sample traditional Mexican cuisine that has pre-Columbian roots.


Eloy Guerrero and Bertha Jimenez are Chicago dancers. Both have performed with local dance groups like “Ocelotl-Cihuacoatl Calpulli” and "Grupo Maravilla" at Chicago venues like “Calles y Suenos”, Chicago Park District’s Harrison Park, Columbia College Chicago, and Millennial Center.
