We welcome you to view these artist books, “one of a kind” codex-inspired creations in the entrance area of CCC Library. These artistic creations are examples of what resulted from the HHSS course, “LATIN AMERICAN ART, LITERATURE AND MUSIC” instructed by Jesus Macarena-Avila. Alongside student’s projects is a small
community “ofrenda” inspired by the Mexican holiday, Dias de los Muertos.
A special dedication to the late Jesus “Chuy” Negrete, who sang corridos (Mexican historic ballads) in the past with the CCC Library, English and HHSS Departments.
