Building Palestine: What you can do

Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 3:00pm to 6:00pm

1104 S. Wabash Ave. 1104 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60605

Palestinian activist Sam Bahour is coming to Chicago!
Many hurdles were thrown in Sam's way since 1995 to prevent him from relocating from Ohio to Al-Bireh/Ramallah and remaining in Palestine to help build the economy and state. Sam was instrumental in the establishment of the Palestine Telecommunications Company and the PLAZA Shopping Center and recently completed a full term as a Board of Trustees member at Birzeit University.
Join us for a conversation with Sam Bahour on his personal journey and to discuss practical things you can do to help build Palestine.

Such an informative meeting! Sam Bahour discussed aspects about the conflict that I was not previously familiar with. Such as holds on Palestinian commerce, and personal experiences trying to navigate the check points when on his way to work, or business meetings and the challenges that come along with being singled out for being a Palestinian. Great event!
