What's the Big Idea? "Authenticity"

What does it mean to be authentic? Given the opportunities we have to put forward carefully edited versions of ourselves every day, both in person and online, is authenticity even possible? What is the role of failure and success in this question?

As part of Inauguration Week celebrations, Columbia College Chicago’s new President, Dr. Kwang-Wu Kim, will lead students in an exploration of these and related questions in the third installment of the Honors Program conversation series, What’s the Big Idea?  Join us as we take on the notion of “Authenticity.”
