The journey of a young woman horribly scarred by her father at age 13.  Now 25, she seeks healing from a televangelist and embarks on a bus trip from her small town North Carolina home across the Jim Crow south of 1964.  Along the way she befriends a young black soldier who teachers her about beauty, love, courage and what it means to be "different."
