Please join us for an informal conversation with Chicago's Haitian gallerist, Nicole Smith! She discusses African traditions within Haitian folk art practices, displaying fine artworks from her own collection. 

Founder of the Nicole Gallery in 1986 representing Haitian, African-American, and African artists, she has provided Chicago's art scene with a multi-ethnic mix of artists, styles, and aesthetics for over 30 years.

Guest speaker courtesy of Jesus Macarena-Avila's course: "CARIBBEAN ART, LITERATURE AND MUSIC".



Talk will include a mini-documentary by Illinois Latino Voice.

Light refeshments will be served at 6:30 pm.
