Call for work for the third annual all-Columbia first-year student exhibition titled: 1st yr.gif.
WHO: 1st yr.gif “the first year exhibition” is open to all first year/ freshman students from all majors and disciplines.
WHAT: 1st yr.gif “the first year exhibition” calls for work that broadly explores and interprets the 1st yr experience.
WHERE: Interactive Art and Media department’s Project Room, 916 S. Wabash Ave., room 111.
WHEN: 1st yr.gif “the first year exhibition” opening reception is Thursday, February 14, 2013 at
5 pm. The exhibition is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, until March 23rd, 2013
WHY: 1st yr.gif “the first year exhibition” is an excellent exhibition opportunity and a chance to vote for a Fabulous Peoples Choice Award which will be counted and presented at the end of the exhibition.

What work is acceptable? The work submitted must be an animated gif.
File size of 512k or less. Monitor resolution aspect ratio of 4:3, (do not exceed 1024x768).
How many gif’s can I submit? 3 (please number submissions).
Who can submit work?
Only freshman and first year transfer students from all majors and disciplines may submit work.
To submit work: Email your gif (title.gif) with your name and OASIS ID # by February 4th, 2013 @ midnight to firstname.lastname@example.org
Notification: Friday February 8th. Accepted student work will require a brief project description.
Work is juried by students that exhibited in last year’s exhibition.
