The Library of Columbia College Chicago supports the educational needs of all academic departments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The collection reflects the nature of the College, which emphasizes visual and performing arts, media and communications within a liberal education context.
This was a great program and I hope to implement a similar program at my library, South Holland Public Library. It is a way for our patrons to participate in creating the history of their community while adding books to our collections that are reflective of them individually. Really a wonderful idea!
The requirement meeting yesterday had a great turn out! It was fun to meet new members and play the Time Travel Jeopardy game.
What the hell?! What is that? * shrug*
Thoroughly enjoyed it! It was informational and interesting. We felt very welcome, and I'm so glad we were able to participate.
This event was okay, the folks were nice, but it was poorly attended. What I'm really dispapointed in is parent weekend, which offered so little opportunity to really get a sense of the program, academic and otherwise. And I didn't meet one faculty member. Coming from NY, it is too difficult to get there on Friday, so there should be some opportunity on the weekend to meet faculty.
It was a very nice event. The food was plenitful and a nice assortment. It was a nice place to reconnect with my Freshman for an hour. Thank you for hosting!
