On the verge of starvation and in need of work, erstwhile entertainer Victoria comes up with a gimmick that quickly makes her the toast of the Paris. Posing as a man impersonating a woman, Victoria turned Victor becomes the object of fascination for big-time Chicago gangster King Marchan. King is every bit the man’s man and lady’s man ta’ boot, but is confused by the arousing sensations he experiences whenever he watches her in action, especially since he, like everyone else, assumes that she is a he.

We saw "Vitor Victoria" performed at Columbia College's Getz Theater and it was wonderful. All around terrific cast and orchestra. The lead actress has a beautiful voice and the comic routines were genuinely funny. Great staging, dancing and French bedroom farce performed with precision comic timing. Kudos to all.
