New Student Convocation 2012

Grant Park at Balbo Drive and Columbus Drive
New Student Convocation is how Columbia welcomes students to its unique creative community. The annual event takes place just before fall classes begin and features a ceremonial assembly with Columbia’s president, a student services exposition, and a catered party with live bands, performance art, spectacle, and more. Convocation showcases the talents of our current students and alumni and is a required event for all new freshmen and faculty and staff.

Not bad, but the heat wasn't a positive factor. Thought it was smart to have everything close together, forcing all the newbies to mingle together. Music could've been better, and I also thought this was an evening event until like the day of.
