Composing with Images and Words

In this hands-on workshop, participants will work back and forth between painting, collage and writing to explore how images and stories can be created in one medium, and then revised and expanded in another. We will explore the parallel processes of writing and visual arts to support student’s development of ideas in multiple literacies. Participants will make work of their own and learn concrete strategies for supporting writing development through the visual arts in their classrooms.
