The 2014 Student Move Out marks the 7th annual move out donation drive, sponsored by Sustain Columbia. The drive aims to collect material for reuse including food, clothing, house hold items and books. In the past 6 years we’ve collected over 36,500 lbs of clothing and household items, 3,400 lbs of food and 1,800 lbs of books.
This year the drive will be held from Monday May 13 through Sunday May 19th in Columbia’s 731 S. Plymouth Residence Center. Bring all donations to designated collection areas on each floor or in the lobby. Drop off materials in marked bins.
Donate Food, Books and Household items separately!
For all food donations we were provided paper grocery bags from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Please fill those bags with non-perishable food items. For all book donations, please drop off items by the book depository bin in the lobby.
